Angkhel Chayang routed Khorpi by 8-2 goals in the opening match of the 56th All Lamkang Sports Meet 2022 organised by Lamkang Kurchuknao Kunpun at Angkhel Chayang Ground, Chandel on Tuesday.

Khorpi sufferred an early blow when KH Rengsing conceded an own goal to boost the morale of its opponent.

Angkhel Chayang playing in front of the home crowd, converted maximum chances with DB Renghon and SK Bunghong striking two goals each before the half time whistle for the lead. Reworking their strategy and bringing changes in their line up, Khorpi pushed harder in the game and found the opening from SK Bungthot, and later SK Shetpol brought up the second goal.

However, Angkhel Chayang did further damages to Khorpi reputation, as the former pumped home three more goals from DB Renghon who scored twice and SK Bunghong with a goal for the victory today.

In the other matches, Challong beat Kongpe by 5-0 goals while Sektai Karong got the better of Ksenkhupi by 3-1 goals during kicks from penalty mark.

For Challong, KH Thamsing, JV Anthony, SK Khumring converted their penalty while for Ksenkhupi, it was JV Kohemson who found the angle right for the lone goal.

In the Women's Volleyball, P Ralringkhu beat Thamlakhuren by 3-0 sets while Phaidaam beat Dulksenlownby 3-0 sets, Angkhel Chayang beat Komsen by 3-1 sets and Rindamkhu beat Sektai by 3-0 sets.
