Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh also called upon the people to honour the defenders of the Indian coastline.

"On the Raising Day of Indian Coast Guard, let us salute and honour the defenders of our coastline and the nation's guardians who have been safeguarding our maritime interests. I convey my best wishes to the brave warriors of the Indian Coast Guard on the occasion," Biren tweeted on Wednesday.
