Essential items including infrastructures were assisted to three different registered disabled organisations and one destitute children home on Saturday as a continuation of its charity work by the Paamel Foundation.
The items were handed over to the representatives of the organisations and home during a function held at the Hotel Imphal in Imphal.
The foundation is a charitable non-profit organisation which is fully funded and sponsored by the Babina Group of Companies.
Speaking on the occasion, chairman of Babina Group, Dr Dhabali Thangjam, said the foundation was launched last year with the mission to support marginalised people by ensuring their basic rights and enhancing their dignity of life through health, education, sports and economic development.
Pointing out that the Classic Football Academy is run by the foundation, he said that the academy is also giving a platform to the football aspirants belonging to marginalised groups.
The representatives of the organisations and the children’s home also expressed their gratitude to the foundation for taking up such a humanitarian act and wished the foundation good luck.
