Meghalaya: Two archaeological sites in East Khasi Hills declared 'protected sites'

The Meghalaya government has declared two archaeological sites in East Khasi Hills as “protected sites”.

These include the archaeological site situated at Myrkhan within Mylliem Block and Megalith Monuments at Rynghep, Nongkseh, according to a notification issued by Commissioner and Secretary of Arts and Culture Department FR Kharkongor on Wednesday.

Objection to the issue of this notification, if any, received within 30 days from the date of issue of this notification will be considered by the government, the notification said.
