Meghalaya Governor Satya Pal Malik will not be participating in the Republic Day Celebration at Polo Ground as he is still undergoing isolation after testing positive for COVID-19.

This was informed by the Commissioner & Secretary to the Governor, Pravin Bakshi in Shillong on Tuesday.
He also informed that the “at home” function scheduled on January 26, at the Raj Bhawan premises stands cancelled for the same reason, adding that the inconvenience caused is regretted.

Governor Satya Pal Malik then wishes a happy Republic Day to all the citizens of Meghalaya.
