Youths need encouragement towards self-reliance: Manipur Employment Minister Heikham Dingo

Manipur Employment minister asserted that society needs to motivate and encourage the talented and skilled youths so that they can set up their own entrepreneurship.

Manipur Employment Minister Heikham Dingo on Wednesday said providing white collar jobs to every educated youth might not be possible and the time has come to encourage the youth to become self-reliant.

He was speaking at the one-day ‘Entrepreneurs’ Meet’ that was held at Jawaharlal Nehru Manipur Dance Academy Hall in DM University Campus, Imphal. The programme was organised by Bharatiya Janata Party OBC Morcha Manipur Pradesh.

Dingo asserted that society needs to motivate and encourage the talented and skilled youths so that they can set up their own entrepreneurship.

He recalled that educated youths used to become victims of drugs due to failure to get white collar jobs. However, with the coming of the BJP government and the introduction of various developmental schemes for young talented and skilled youths, the youths of the state have started becoming successful entrepreneurs.

He said the department of Employment and Entrepreneurship is ready to assist the young talented and skilled youths to provide necessary assistance corresponding to various welfare schemes.

State president A Sharda Devi, vice president state BJP N Nimbus, vice president state BJP L Meenabanta Singh and state president BJP OBC Morcha Manipur Pradesh Rajkumar Nongdrenkhomba Meitei also attended the function as dignitaries.

As a part of the programme, 10 OBC students who have passed out on the recent Class X examination of BOSEM were felicitated with certificate and cash rewards. It is learnt that the students were selected by the BOSEM.
