As a part of the observation, Project Manager of DPU Lucky Angomcha stated that awareness among the public and responsibilities of the society is crucial in controlling the spread of HIV/AIDS.

Due to the negligence of the Society, HIV/AIDS has caused lots of deaths. As such, the WHO declared it as a pandemic and observed World AIDS Day since 1988 to spread awareness.

He stressed that people should be made aware and educated about how the virus spread. When everyone understand how it is transmitted, we can curb HIV/AIDS, he added.
