A woman was killed in a road mishap near Khangabok Keithel under Thoubal police station along the National Highway 102 connecting Imphal to Moreh at around 6.40 pm on Wednesday.
The victim has been identified as one Laishram Senu Devi, 54, wife of late Pochou from Khangabok Awang leikai.

According to sources, Senu was trying to cross the road when she was hit by a Tata Tiago car, without a registration number, heading from Imphal towards Sangaiyumpham.
She was hospitalised at Thoubal District Hospital, but later rushed to Shija Hospital, it added. She succumbed to her injuries at around 3:30 am on Thursday, it continued.

The police has filed a case regarding the incident.
