A woman passenger, who fell off from a moving passenger bus along National Highway-2 at Mongoijang village in Kangpokpi district, Manipur died early Saturday, sources said.
According to the sources, the victim was identified as Phul Maya Tamang, 37, wife of Ram Bahadur Singdam Tamang from nine-mile Phoudel Basti Irang Part I of Kangpokpi district.
The accident victim fell off of the passenger bus (MN08T/0084) moving along NH-2 at Mongoijang village, which is situated 4 km south of Sapermeina police station in Kangpokpi district, at around 2.30 pm Friday, the sources said.
Although she was rushed to Raj Medicity, she succumbed to her injuries early Saturday, the sources said.
A case has been filed regarding the incident and the body was received by the bereaved family after a post mortem was conducted at RIMS mortuary, police said.
