Pangkotphai Waterfall at Tousem subdivision of Tamenglong district was handed over to Phaitol segment Autonomous District Council (ADC) executive member Hatlhing Dougel by Pangkotphai village chief Deha Chongloi on Tuesday.
On the occasion, Pangkotphai village chief Deha Chongloi said that the waterfall under the provision of Tamenglong district DC had been handed over to Phaitoul segment ADC executive member as he could not keep up with the necessary maintenance of the waterfall.
Phaitoul segment ADC executive member Hatlhing Dougel mentioned that the Pangkotphai waterfall had been a popular site for tourists from Manipur and other states as well.
She assured that she would work for the maintenance and development of the site under the supervision of the chief minister and the MLA Awangbow Newmai.
