Veterinary and Animal Husbandry Minister Khashim Vashum, on Thursday visited Manaowon, who was injured and admitted at the female surgery ward, JNIMS in connection with the Republic Day eve blast at Gandhi Chowk, Ukhrul district.
Manaowon and three men were injured when a suspected hand grenade exploded around 5 pm on January 25 in Ukhrul district headquarters.
The four injured were given first aid at Ukhrul district hospital however, Manaowon was referred to JNIMS hospital for further treatment as she received injury at her elbow and abdomen.
During the visit, the minister wished Manaowon for speedy recovery and handed her financial assistance too.
Meanwhile, former deputy speaker,MK Preshow Shimray, who is also spokesperson of state BJP, visited the injured at JNIMS on Friday.
He also gave her financial assistance and wished for her quick recovery.
In a release, PREPAK, while claiming responsibility for the blast, expressed regrets that the bomb went off due to some technical issues thus injuring some civilians. They also wished the injured victims a speedy recovery.
