UKLF clarifies, says allegations baseless

On the alleged incident of January 29, UKLF clarified in a release issued by its joint secretary T James that its cadres were not involved

The United Kuki Liberation Front (UKLF) on Wednesday clarified that the allegations raised by NPP candidate Lunkhopao Haokip of UKLF involving in attacking his workers were baseless.

UKLF clarified that its cadres were never involved in the January 29 incident and any other activities that contradict the SoO ground rules. The UKLF stated the clarification in a release issued by its joint secretary T James.

Till date, UKLF strictly adhered to the SoO ground rules and was confined in the designated peace camp as per the instruction of the authority concerned where several inspections had been conducted, UKLF stated.  
“The organisation extends sympathy to the victims of the incident but condemn the false allegations of Lunkhopao Haokip for maligning the image of UKLF,” it mentioned.

UKLF further notified Lunkhopao Haokip to come before the organisation to clarify his allegation, failing which the organisation will bar him and his workers from entering its operational area, it added.
