At least two members of a family were killed and five others sustained serious injuries after a bomb exploded inside the house at Gangpimual village, BSF road in Churachandpur district.

Sources said the incident occurred around 7.30 pm. The residence belonged to one Niangzahau, 62, wife of late Paozathang. Upon initial investigation of the blast site led to the recovery of a fin unit of RPG Mortar Cell and some splinters, added the sources.
The deceased have been identified as Langginsang Phiamphu, 20, son of Thangchinpau Phiamphu, and Mangminlal, 8, son of Man Lidya.
