Three persons died in two separate road accidents in Imphal West and Bishnupur districts on Sunday.
Two persons died in a road mishap involving a Royal Enfield motorcycle and a Kawasaki motorcycle at Mayang Imphal Thana Awang Leikai under Mayang Imphal Police Station, Imphal West at 6.55 pm on Sunday.
The deceased were identified as Sagolsem Jeny, 24, son of Jiteshor from Singjamei Wangma Bheigrabati Leikai who was riding the Royal Enfield, and Thokchom Ibungo ,45, son of Th Achou from Mayang Imphal Thana Awang Leikai who was riding the Kawasaki. Wife of Th Ibungo who was injured in the accident is in critical condition.
No case was filed regarding the incident as the bereaved families came to terms and collected the bodies from RIMS Mortuary.
In another incident, one person was killed in a road mishap involving a Tata Tipper and FZ motorcycle near UCO Bank Bishnupur, Bishnupur district.
Wahengbam Tombung ,23, son of W Ibopishak from Kwashiphai Maning Leikai was killed on the spot when his motorcycle collided with a parked Tata Tipper at 6.15 pm on Sunday.
Bishnupur Police Station filed a case regarding the incident. After a post mortem was conducted at RIMS the body was handed over to the family.
