Following heavy rains, Tamenglong district has been reeling under total blackout for two consecutive days. Due to the incessant rain, all power supplies have been cut off for the last two days, affecting mobile networks and the lives of many.

Due to the total blackout, various services such as mobile networks, water supply, radio, TV, carpentry, etc. have been adversely affected in the district.
When contacted, the Tamenglong Electricity department informed that a landslide had destroyed eight electric poles between Tamenglong and Rengpang and it would take three-four days to restore it, the sources informed.
