As per resolution made in the meeting that was held on Friday at MS conference hall of Churachandpur district hospital, a sub-committee of district hospital COVID Care Centre was formed on Saturday.
The sub-committee is headed by Churachandpur DC as chairman and MS of the district hospital, CMO, SDO, EE of PWD and DGM of MSDPCL are members.
The meeting that was held on Friday was attended by Tribal Affairs and Hills minister, Vungzagin Valte; Singhat MLA, Ginsuanhau Zou; DC, CMO and SDO of Churachandpur; and officials of PHED and MSPDCL.
Concerning the risk factor when there is power cut, the sub-committee provided a high power battery for use in Bilevel Positive Airway Pressure (BiPAP). The battery was conceived by MSPDCL DGM, Tuangkanson by upgrading the regular inverter battery which is used by mostly every household.
The DC presented two 1,000 litre water storage tankers to the Dedicated COVID Health Centre (DCHC), district hospital. He said that the sub-committee has been formed under direction of district in-charge minister, Vungzagin Valte to look after any shortages in the district hospital.
Meanwhile, a team led by RoHFW Manipur senior regional director, Dr L Ashananada visited two CHICs and one CCC in Churachandpur and took stock of the situation in the district that reported 45 COVID-19 positive cases with no death on Sunday. The team included National Centre for Disease Control director, Dr Rameshwar; and microbiologist and consultant, Dr Samita Singhal.
