Students condemn assault on teacher in Kakching

Protesting students of Kakching Khunou College condemned physical assault on their teachers by a few student leaders over college election.

Kakching Khunou College students on Friday demonstrated sit-in protests at the college premises, condemning the physical assault on teachers allegedly by some student leaders on Wednesday.

The protesting students condemned the physical assault on the teachers of the college by a few student leaders regarding a matter concerning the college election.

Appealing for a peaceful environment for education, the protesters said that for a student to physically assault the teachers is comparable to a child physically assaulting their own parents.

During the protest, the students displayed placards that read ‘Our teachers are our parents’, ‘We condemn assault on our teachers’ and ‘We want peace’ etc.
