The All Manipur Football Association has released the names of 20 footballers who will represent Manipur in the final round of the 75th Hero National Football Championship for Santosh Trophy 2021-22 which will be played at Kerala from April 16 to May 2, 2022.
Goalkeepers: AB Waraibou, Md.Abujar, Angomjambam Chingkhei Meitei. Defenders: Waikhom Arunkumar Singh, Thangkivet Kipgen, Thiyam Chingkheingnanba, Maibam Deny Singh, Laishram Chingkheinganba, A.Herojit Singh, Naoroibam Romen Singh.
Mid-Fielders: Khaidem Jacky Singh, Ngulgoulal Singsit, Ningthoujam Momocha Singh, Thokchom Manichand Singh, Ngariyanbam Jenish Singh, Sudhir Laitonjam, Janminlun Kuki. Forwards: Lunminlen Haokip, NG Bedeenpar Moyon, Somison Shirak.
The team will be leaving Imphal on April 12 for the championship at Kerala where it will be played at two venues, Manjeri Payyanaad Stadium and Kottappadi Stadium.

Andhra Pradesh put up a massive lead of 332 runs against Manipur in the U-25 Men's Col.CK Nayadu Trophy 2021-22(Day-2) played at CAP Ground 3, Puducherry.
Resuming their overnight score 115/1, Andhra Pradesh dazzles with batting display as skipper SK Rasheed cracked home an unbeaten 162 runs from 288 balls while wicketkeeper batsman S.Tarun strucks 124 runs from 95 ball and M.Ravi Kiran got 66 runs, Hasha Vardhan makes 58 runs, to put on 477 runs for 4 wickets from 122 overs.
Raju Kullayappa hit 39 runs and M.Deeraj Kumar also remained not out with 21 runs. Manipur bowlers Kishan, Jotin Pheiroijam, Bikash Singh and Nitesh claimed 1 wickets each. Mentioned may be made that Manipur in their first innings had scored 145 runs for 10 wickets from 50.4 overs.

The All Manipur Football Association has directed District Associations/ Clubs/Entities to organise District Invitation/State Invitation Tournaments after the completion of the ongoing Class X and XII Examinations of Manipur.
SAIL Academy talent scouting
The AMFA has informed that SAIL Football Academy, Bokaro Jharkhand is conducting selection trials of talented young footballers from the state for its academies at Bokaro, Jharkhand and Burnpur(West Bengal) for the season 2022-23 at Artificial Turf Ground, Lamlong Thongkhong on April 11-12.
For the SAIL Academy at Bokaro, players must be born between January 1, 2006 and 31 December 2007 while for Burnpur, players should be born between January 1, 2003 and 31 December 2004. Players must bring along original Birth Certificates and original Aadhar Card during the trial.
