A man who met with a road mishap near ABC godown at Thangmeiband under Imphal Police Station at 11.15 pm on June 6, succumbed to his injuries on Wednesday.
The deceased, Maisnam Samarendra, 59, son of late Nabachandra from Hiyanglam Mayai Leikai was on his Activa scooter when he collided with a car (Swift Dzire, RN MN01AG-0695) near the ABC godown at Thangmeiband under Imphal Police Station on June 6.
He sustained serious injuries and was hospitalised at Rajmedicity, but succumbed to his injuries at 6.43 am on Wednesday.
The driver of the car has been identified as Laishram Yaiphaba, 28, son of L Sarat from Mongjam. Yaiphaba was also hospitalised at Rajmedicity and was discharged on June 7 as he did not sustain any serious injuries.
A case was filed in regard to the incident by the police, and the body was handed over to the bereaved family after a post-mortem was conducted at RIMS, Imphal.
