RLJP to field 20 candidates in Manipur Assembly election 2022

RLJP national secretary B Ruchida Sharma said that as the BJP, which is in alliance with the RLJP in the Centre, has announced to fight the election in Manipur without the support of any alliance, the RLJP will also be fighting the election alone.

The Rashtriya Lok Janshakti Party (RLJP) is ready to field its candidates for at least 20 assembly constituencies of Manipur to fight in the upcoming assembly election 2022, announced its national secretary B Ruchida Sharma.

Sharma was speaking to the media during the appointment ceremony of RLJP state executives at the Manipur Press Club in Imphal on Sunday.

She said that as the BJP, which is in alliance with the RLJP in the Centre, has announced to fight the election in Manipur without the support of any alliance, the RLJP will also be fighting the election alone.

Ruchida also conveyed the message of RLJP chief and union minister of Food Processing Industries Pashupati Kumar Paras that he, on behalf of the Centre, will extend every possible support for the development of food processing industries in Manipur to provide more job opportunities. 

Pointing out that the state has many resourceful persons, she said that the people have been working outside the state due to absence of proper industries. She further said that they are not able to make good savings as a result.

Considering all these, it is the need of the hour to establish various industries in the state, she added.

Ruchida also announced that she will be contesting in the upcoming election from the Uripok assembly constituency.
