The CCIAN Forum Peace Committee extended relief materials to the village volunteers and to the womenfolk of Moidangpok Khunou Awang Leikai on Friday.
CCIAN Forum Peace Committee general secretary Robinson Takhellambam said that villagers of Moidangpok village, which is only 15 kms away from Imphal questioned the government for being silent on the sufferings faced by the villagers from the attacks carried out by the Kukis in the villages.
He added that the committee has been extending help and support to the peripheral Meitei villages of the state affected by the ongoing violence since June 15. He condemned the government for not looking into Moidangpok village after Kukis launched attacks in Keithelmanbi and Moidangpok villages on October 4.
Moidangpok khunou Awang leikai club members appreciated the CCIAN forum for their help. CCIAN Forum Peace Committee members took part in extending the relief items to the villagers.
