Tamenglong Battalion under the aegis of Jwalamukhi Sector kicked off the second phase of Rani Gaidinliu pre-recruitment training at Tamenglong district headquarters on Monday.
The camp is to train them for upcoming recruitment rallies for Assam Rifles and Indian Army.
In continuation with the efforts of Assam Rifles to empower the local youths and ensure enrollment from remote areas of Tamenglong, Rani Gaidinliu pre-recruitment training camp is being conducted at Battalion Headquarters, Tamenglong, stated 44 Assam Rifles commandment Rahul Singh.
He highlighted the pivotal role of young minds in society and how the training will benefit youth in future.
He also emphasised on education and physical training which assist in shaping character and well being of future generations.
He expressed his sincere thanks to the guardians of trainees for attending the event and lauded the efforts of the youths who came from areas as far as Jiribam, Noney, Tousem, Tamei and corners of Tamenglong district to be part of the training camp.
Response to the event has been positive wherein total registrations touched 50 with students arriving from all over the district and from as far as Noney and Jiribam.
The training camp commenced with inspection of documents and medical check up and eligible candidates shall further continue with the training for two weeks.
The officer-in-charge confirmed that candidates will be awarded with a certificate of participation on successful completion of the training.
The battalion had successfully carried out phase-one of the training camp in October 2022 which got an unprecedented response from locals, with participants reaching up to 300. Rani Gaidinliu Training Camp (Phase-Two) is in continuation with efforts of the Battalion towards shaping up youths of the hills.
It is worth mentioning that a similar camp was also carried out by the battalion in Tamei earlier this month.
