Takhellambam Ramananda Meitei, who recently tendered an apology for passing highly offensive remarks against Meitei and other communities, is now accused of humiliating a Satjal member by passing inflammatory comments.

In this regard, the Universal Friendship Organisation (UFO) on Friday demanded an apology for his alleged irresponsible comments within seven days' time.

In a viral video circulated in social media, Ramananda was seen calling a Satjal member as a ‘cat’ and making fun of him, alleged general secretary of UFO Y Meiraba while speaking to the media at Manipur Press Club in Imphal.

“Passing such a statement is considered as a humiliation to the whole Satjal community which stands for universal peace. It is intolerable,” he said.

He recalled the previous viral video in which Ramanada was seen mocking the Meetei tradition and later issuing a public apology. He said Ramananda provoking others in the attempt to spread a particular religion is highly unfortunate.

One should never speak against or humiliate other communities or religions while preaching for a particular community, he added.

Ramananda can choose to meet the members of Satjal for an apology, and as a peace loving community, we just want a peaceful apology, he said.

Failure to give an apology within the stipulated time period will compel the UFO to decide and take further course of action, he added.
