Raj Medicity announced five-month maternity leave with pay to all its staff

Raj Medicity on Tuesday kicked off World Breastfeeding Week 2023 at the hospital’s multipurpose hall and announced five-month maternity leave with pay to all its staff underlining the hospital’s commitment to supporting working mothers.

The event was jointly organised by the Raj Medicity and Co-ordinates by the Breastfeeding Promotion Alliance of Manipur (BPAM), with an aim to emphasize the importance of breastfeeding and its immense benefits for both mothers and infants, stated a release.

Dignitaries from the medical fraternity including chairman and managing director of Raj Medicity, Haobijam Rajen Singh, paediatrician of Imphal Hospital, Dr Shyamkumar Laishram, MD of ACME hospital, Dr Elangbam James, head of paediatrics department, JNIMS, professor N Kameshore Singh, BPAM President, Dr Aribam Ibotombi Sharma and others took part in the event.

During the event, paediatrician of RIMS Hospital, Dr L Radhapyari Devi gave insights on ‘Importance and Benefits of Breastfeeding’, it mentioned. Haobijam Rajen Singh also lauded the efforts of BPAM in increasing awareness and advocacy for breastfeeding among the people of Manipur.
