The probe has been launched on the basis of a complaint filed by a labour union against the irregularities of the “dubious Khongman-based NGO led by one Sanglakp Preshyojit Sharma,” KCP stated in a release issued by its secretary public relations Luwangcha Thouba.

The general public is, therefore, requested to cease any current or future dealings with the NGO in question with immediate effect until further notice, it stated.

"The organisation would further request the general public to provide us with more information, documents, etc., about the exploitative activities of the NGO in question at our email address: psc.kcp@gmail.com," it mentioned.

The same NGO was involved in a multi-crore labour department scam which came to light in 2018, when Sanglakpam Preshyojit Sharma was still the chairman of the Manipur Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board, it added.
