President of Mayang Fejoi Yonbi Khwairamband Keithel, RK Sanatombi said that it has been eight months since vendors (Emas) of Khwairamband Keithel are being stopped from earning their livelihood. Due to COVID-19 pandemic, the market has been empty but now shops have started to open and why the Emas are being stopped to open their stalls at Khwairamband Keithel, she asked.

As Ningol Chakkouba is coming shortly, the vendors have urged the state government to arrange something to open the market but the government has responded that the market will be allowed to open only after November 15, she added.

She further said that the Emas are gathering to appeal to the state government to make an arrangement for opening the market before Ningol Chakkouba.
