The District Supply Officer (DSO), CAF&PD, Chandel district and Chief Agent/Nominee, 41-Chandel have denied allegations by the Maha Area Anal chiefs of not sanctioning PMGKAY rice for the month of March to villages of Thungbung Mino, Chingkhu (Cheengkhu), L Thangkam, Abungnikhu, Riverlane and Lambung of Chandel district.
"It is sad and appalling to learn that the Maha Area Anal chiefs have alleged the district level officers of not sanctioning PMGKAY rice for the month of March to the said villages," Shanta Sarungbam, District Supply Officer (DSO), CAF&PD, Chandel district and Ts. Walno, Chief Agent/Nominee, 41-Chandel said in a press release.
The same was published in local newspapers on March 18, 2022 and this allegation is nothing but false and baseless, they stated.
The truth is that the PMGKAY rice has already been handed over to the concerned agents of the villages and the said villages/villagers/beneficiaries reportedly failed to turn up for collecting the same when they were called by the agents for collecting the same, the DSO and the agent clarified.
Now that the Maha Area Anal Chiefs have alleged of denial of being sanctioned the PMGKAY rice, the DSO and the Chief Agent/Nominee, 41-Chandel called on the concerned beneficiaries to collect the said PMGKAY rice on or before March 26, 2022 from the concerned agents. Failing to do so would mean that the beneficiaries have rejected the scheme and no complaint shall be entertained anytime later, they said.
