A 32-year-old man has reportedly succumbed to his injuries on Sunday after he was physically assaulted by a group of people on the intervening night of September 24-25.

According to Churachandpur Police, they got a called around 1.50 pm from an individual identified himself as Demkholun Haokip (48), S/o (L) Konkhomang Haokip of New Boljol village, Churachandpur, complaining that on the intervening night of September 24 and 25, his younger brother, Demkhomang Haokip (32) was physically assaulted by individuals of Changpikot village and has succumbed to his injuries.

A case under FIR NO.152(9)2022 CCP-PS u/s 302/34 IPC has been registered for further investigation, the police said.
