‘Over 50 days on, no whereabouts of two missing persons’

Public urged to extend support in finding Atom Somorendro and Yumkhaibam Kirankumar, who have been reported missing since May 6.

The DM College of Science Alumni Association, 1995-1998 batch on Monday urged the authorities concerned to expedite efforts to trace the whereabouts of Atom Somorendro and Yumkhaibam Kirankumar, who have gone missing for over 50 days now.

In a release, the association highlighted the grief and anxiety experienced by family members of the missing persons. It further appealed to the public to extend their support in finding them.

It recounted that Somorendro and Kirankumar have been missing since May 6 and mentioned the efforts and contributions of the two to the society during tough times, including the prevailing ethnic conflict and Covid-19 crisis, among others. It urged all the communities in the state to join the efforts to bring peace and normalcy in the state.
