The All Manipur Nupi Marup on Thursday demanded disqualification of the 10 MLAs, including two cabinet ministers of the state, decrying the “fake report” submitted by them to Union Home Minister Amit Shah on May 14,
According to a release, the report stated that there are no tribal communities left in Imphal Valley, nor any Meitei in the Hill areas.
The organisation urged the governor to convene a special Assembly Session and disqualify the 10 Kuki MLAs for submitting such fake reports and attempting to form a “Separate Administration” of the Kukis.
It also expressed discontentment over state BJP president A Sharda Devi and BJP national president JP Nadda for failing to initiate necessary actions till now against the 10 Kuki MLAs.
The association further condemned attempts to escalate the prevailing communal crisis in the state and urged the Prime Minister, Home Minister and Defence Minister to come to Manipur and chalk out necessary measures to resolve the chaos and restore normalcy in the state.
