"It has come to my knowledge that unscrupulous elements are trying to cause unwarranted disturbances in the infrastructure development which falls within the Zeilad Region, Tamenglong district of NSCN/GPRN by demanding a huge amount of money by way of contribution towards their cause, " DG Robert, Caretaker CAO, Zeilad Region said in a release.

This is for general information that no group, irrespective of hill or valley is allowed to serve any monetary demand that falls under the jurisdiction of Zeilad Region, NSCN in Tamenglong district, it stated, adding that development should be allowed to go on without giving any extortion or tension. Cooperation in any form should be extended towards developmental works/projects.

Since many years, no group has been allowed to indulge in monetary demand and shall not be allowed to show their ugly heads under any circumstances, the Caretaker CAO said.
