A new BJP-led government with the support from NPF will come in the coming election, said Naga People’s Front (NPF) candidate of 44-Ukhrul assembly constituency, Ram Muivah.
Muivah was speaking at a one-day political conference of the Naga People’s Front (NPF) held at Sinakeithei, Ukhrul district on Tuesday. He said that the party will never be a coalition partner with other political parties, including the Indian National Congress (INC).
Pointing out that a good government is needed in Manipur, he said, “It is meaningless if there is no good democratic governance… Time has come to give priority in order to bring development in human resource instead of focusing on natural resource”.
Muivah said that more than half of the entire population of Manipur is female and to bring more development people need to promote women. Besides, about 60 per cent of the entire population are youths and it is necessary to bring welfare for the youths in order to increase the state economy, he added.
NPF party leaders and village chiefs of eight different villages near Sinakeithei attended the function.
