In view of the prevailing law and order situation in the state, Manipur State Power Distribution Company Limited (MSPDCL) has set up temporary Recharge Counters for Electricity Prepaid Recharge at various areas in the State and enabled Electricity Prepaid Recharge via SMS at the counters.
The counters are being opened at DC Office Senapati, DC Office Ukhrul, DC Office Chandel, DC Office Bishnupur, DC Office Thoubal, DC Office Kakching, Jirighat (Jiribam), NIC Tamenglong, IED-I (Keishampat), IED-II (Lamphel), IED-III (Kakwa) and IED-IV (Khuman Lampak, stated a release.
The company has also enabled Electricity Prepaid Recharge via SMS at the said counters from Monday to Friday considering the inconvenience of consumers who are unable to come at the recharge centres,it stated.

It further informed the consumers to text their name, prepaid connection number and meter number vis SMS to Mobile numbers- 8131974625 or 8131974626 to avail the service and added that MSPDCL will send a recharge Code for Rs 1000 to the respective Mobile number within 24 hours.
MSPDCL will deduct 20 per cent of the said amount at the next recharge. The service will be applicable for one prepaid connection number of one consumer, it added.
