A team of Manipur State Commission for Women (MSCW) interacted with various women civil body representatives during a one-day legal awareness programme held at Only Grace Home, New Lamka, Churachandpur district on Monday.
It was organised by the Zoumi Mothers Association (ZMA) under the sponsorship of MSCW, said MSCW in a release.
It stated that advocates Grace Chinhoihniang and Lalthomawi who attended as resource persons, spoke about various provisions and rights of women and girls provided by the law.
The function was attended by chairperson (in-charge) of MSCW Thumlip Tiningpham Monsang; members of MSCW Lourembam Dayabati Devi and T Chuongsin Koireng; and president of Zoumi Mothers’ Association Chingngaidon as presidium members, it stated.
Chairman of Zoumi Council John K Ngaihte, women civil body representatives and around 100 participants from different sections also participated in the programme, it added.
