Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is like a small stream and such streams can never become an ocean, said MLA of Heirok assembly constituency, Thokchom Radheshyam, on Sunday, reacting to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s claim that BJP is afraid of AAP and BJP supporters should join AAP instead.
Th Radheshyam issued the response towards the AAP leader in a video clip posted on Twitter and Facebook. The social media post became viral, reaching 121K views and 1.2 K comments within 10 hours after it was uploaded.
In the video clip, Radheshyam said that BJP is like a massive tidal wave in an ocean. A tidal wave shall remain a tidal wave while a stream will remain a stream, and streams can never become a wave, he stressed.
BJP along with other parties in alliance, is running the governments in as many as 18 states while AAP is in power only in Delhi and Punjab, he further said. Questioning how these two parties are even being compared, the former Education minister of Manipur further challenged the Delhi chief minister to visit Manipur and show his might.
MLA of Heirok assembly constituency Thokchom Radheshyam has been holding his post as a representative of Heirok for two consecutive terms. He was an IPS officer before joining politics.
