According to the Singsit Organization, the inimitable Pasut performed the Thadou Traditional War rituals by piercing Mithun's side thrice with a spear and chopping off its tail thereby declaring war on the mighty British imperialism on March 17, 1917, at Jampi village in Manipur.

Pasut Singsit spearheaded many attacks on the British forces and became a thorn in their flesh during the Thadou Gal (Thadou War) from 1917-1919.

Kipgen while paying her huge respect and tribute to Pasut Singsit, said that his indomitable courage, dedication, and noble sacrifice are unparalleled and inspiration for infinity to come.

She maintained that it won’t be possible without the efforts of our freedom fighters in the past to see what India is today and urged everyone to honour their sacrifices which would only be possible if every citizen of India stand united in any circumstances.

The minister also said that freedom fighters like Pasut Singsit inspired others to understand their rights and stand up against the people in power while adding that it was because of the freedom fighters that the countrymen united with a bond of nationalism and patriotic feelings.
