Minister Nemcha Kipgen highlights StartUp Manipur scheme at IIE AGM

The Manipur Textiles, Commerce and Industries minister attended the 19th Annual General Body Meeting (AGM) of Indian Institute of Entrepreneurship (IIE) held at Shastri Bhawan, New Delhi on Thursday.

Manipur Textiles, Commerce and Industries Minister Nemcha Kipgen on Thursday attended the 19th Annual General Body Meeting (AGM) of Indian Institute of Entrepreneurship (IIE) held at Shastri Bhawan, New Delhi. She is also one of the members of the general body of IIE.

Minister Nemcha Kipgen raised specific concern in regard to Manipur and Northeast as a whole. She highlighted the initiative taken up by Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh to uplift the budding entrepreneurs of the state by introducing the Manipur StartUp scheme and various other assured support for the youths to set up new enterprises through such programmes.

During the board meeting, annual reports for the financial years 2018-19, 2019-20, 202-21 were placed before the general body members for ratification and annual report 2021-22 for adoption. Various activities namely number of training programmes, participants and revenue, entrepreneurship and skill development programmes with ministries were also reviewed amongst others.

The meeting was co-chaired by Union Minister Dharmendra, 19th Annual General Body Meeting Pradhan, Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (SDE) and Union Minister, G Kishan Reddy, Ministry of Development of Northeastern Region (DoNER).

Resident Commissioner, Manipur Bhawan, Delhi, Devesh Deval also attended the meeting.
