The Maring community of Konaitong Village in Tengnoupal district on Tuesday, with the message of peace and helping those in need, distributed food items from the hills to the relief camps at Thoubal district.

The food items were distributed to the relief camps set up at Heirok Higher Secondary School, Pioneer Club Wangjing and Wangjing Kodompokpi Sports Complex.

Konaitong Village Meira Paibi secretary Tangoshim Tehsil condemned the prevailing crisis in the state. As the Maring people cannot simply be a mute spectator, the people have come together to distribute the food items available in the hills to the victims of the crisis, she added. She also conveyed the message of love and peace, praying for the restoration of peace and normalcy in the state.
