The Manipur State Commission for Women (MSCW) held an interaction program with executive members of Chingtam Positive Association Manipur (HIV positive widows) and Indigenous Foundation on Wednesday at Tangkhul Baptist Church, Imphal.
A release stated that the widows expressed the challenges and issues they faced while interacting with the members of the Commission.
After listening to all the issues, the Commission gave them an assurance that it will recommend to the concerned authority to take up immediate necessary action to meet their grievances, the release said.
The release also added that chairperson of MSCW Binota Meinam, members of the Commission Tiningpham Monsang, Lourembam Dayabati Devi, T Choungsin Koireng along with president of Indigenous Foundation AC Raising and president of Chingtam Positive Association Manipur, W Onchung Jajo were also present in the program.
