Manipur Youth Affairs and Sports Minister Govindas Konthoujam visited Jiribam district and inspected the ongoing developmental works in the district on Wednesday.
PHED Minister L Susindro, BJP Manipur state general secretary K Sarat Kumar Singh, Jiribam Local MLA Md Achhab Udin, Moirang MLA Th Shanti, Patsoi MLA Keba, Lamlai MLA Ibomcha and officials were also present at the inspection visit.
The ministerial team inspected Jiri Tipaimukh route, sports complex in Bidyanagar, Jiribam and inter village roads.
Minister Govindas in his visit said that his team met with the Manipuris residing in Cachar. He said that his team have noted the inadequate infrastructure in the sports complex and also assured to provide acclimatation sports training in Jiribam district for the players as the district has humid weather.
He added that a report will be submitted to the chief minister to complete the ongoing developmental works in the district.
