Manipur Governor La Ganesan on Tuesday extended greetings to the people of Manipur on the occasion of ‘Ganesh Chaturthi’ which falls on August 31, and extended well wishes for good fortunes to be with the people of the state.
In his message, the governor invited the people to rededicate to the ideals of peace, harmony and brotherhood espoused by Ganesh for a better world devoid of all evils. He stated that the festival of ‘Ganesh Chaturthi’ is celebrated with a lot of enthusiasm and zeal to brighten up everyone’s lives.
“On this day, devotees celebrate the birthday of Ganesh, the elephant-headed God, who is the symbol of good fortune, wisdom and intelligence,” he mentioned.
He continued that the blessings of Ganesh are invoked at religious ceremonies as he can overcome all difficulties to success, especially when people are commencing new business ventures.
