Manipur Governor Anusuiya Uikey on Tuesday greeted the people of Manipur, particularly the Kuki-Chin-Mizo brethren, on the auspicious occasion of Kut Festival, 2023.

The Governor, in her message, said Kut, which is considered the biggest festival among the Kuki-Chin-Mizo ethnic groups, is celebrated as a post-harvest festival for thanksgiving and gratitude to the Almighty for a bountiful harvest.

‘The festival also symbolizes peace, harmony and unity rising above the barriers of caste, creed or religion’, she stated.

She noted that more and more people belonging to different communities have also joined in the celebration every year spreading the message of oneness.
