Manipur Governor Anusuiya Uikey has assured to the All Manipur Road Transport Workers Federation to help ease the difficulties faced by the truck drivers and all transport workers along the national highways amid the unrest in the state.
The All Manipur Road Transport Workers Federation had called on Governor Anusuiya Uikey at Raj Bhawan in Imphal on Tuesday, a release stated.

According to the release, a four-point memorandum, including demands on behalf of the Motors Workers and Drivers of Manipur, was submitted to the governor during the meeting.
The federation also highlighted their inconveniences and difficulties while plying along national highways owing to the prevailing communal conflict in the state.
The convenor also apprised the Governor of the plights of stranded truck drivers, state passengers, bus workers, petrol tankers and small passengers vehicle drivers. He also informed the governor about the prevalence of looting along the hill routes.

The governor assured all possible help to ease the difficulties faced by the truck drivers and others at all national highways, it stated.
Convenor of the Federation, Ksh Sopen and five others, were present at the meeting, the release added.
