Manipur: E-Shram cards distributed to workers of Wangkhei AC

The registration and the distribution of cards was held at the community hall of Khurai Lai Wangba in Imphal East.

E-Shram registration cards were distributed to around 300 unorganised workers and labours of Wangkei Assembly constituency on Friday by the Khurai Genial Club (KGC) under the sponsorship of proprietor of Arun Enterprises Thangjam Arun Kumar. 

The registration and the distribution of cards was held at the community hall of Khurai Lai Wangba in Imphal East.

Speaking to the media, vice-president of KGC Khoirom Suraj Kumar said that the e-Shram card holders will be eligible for many beneficial schemes such as social security scheme benefits, financial support, premium wave for one year, Beema Yojana insurance cover among others.

Moreover the registration details given to the government will be utilised to build new plans, policies and job possibilities for unorganised workers and labours, he added. 

On behalf of the club, the vice-president expressed gratitudes to Thangjam Arun, who is also the intending candidate of Wangkhei constituency for his support in organising such welfare programme.
