In a heartfelt display of solidarity, the Manipur diaspora residing in Assam, operating under the banner of Manipuri Sahitya Parishad (MSP), Assam provided monetary aid to various relief camps in the Imphal area. They also extended support to the injured victims of the ongoing crisis in Manipur.
The three-member team, led by vice president of MSP N Bidya Balon, comprises of Hoijai District Committee MSP president T Manihar and vice-president of Hojai District Committee MSP Kh Nabadip.
During their stay in Manipur, the team is guided by volunteers from the Coordinating Committee on Manipur's Integrity (COCOMI), ensuring their effective involvement in assisting the people of Manipur.
The Manipur diaspora members have flown to the state to provide moral support to their Meetei brethren in their collective efforts to restore peace and safeguard the integrity of the state.
One such notable event of extending monetary aid took place on Thursday at the Government Dance College in Imphal, where a relief camp was set up by the Peace Committee Wangkhei Kendra, under the supervision of MLA Th Arunkumar.
The three-member diaspora team condoled the death of numerous people during the ongoing unrest in Manipur.
In a show of unwavering unity with the people of Manipur, the Manipur diaspora in Assam emphasised their commitment towards protecting the state's integrity. They assured their Meetei counterparts, who they consider their brothers, their constant support.
