Hangamthabi Youth Club (HYC) on Saturday appealed to the public to cancel all Eid-ul-Fitr celebrations this year besides performing Namaz in view of the prevailing conflict in Manipur.

The club, in a release, greeted the Muslim brethren on the auspicious occasion of the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr festival and wished that the festival usher in peace and normalcy in the state.

It urged the public to be sensible of the prevailing situation and not hold grand celebrations or burst crackers on the day of the festival. It further called upon the people to make dua for restoration of peace and tranquillity in Manipur as well as for Palestine while offering prayers at Idgah.
