The Manipur Legislative Assembly begins its 12th Session on Wednesday. There will be 12 assembly sittings, including the address by the state Governor and the state budget session.
The session will conclude on February 22. During the whole session, there will be seven non-sitting days, including general holidays, according to official statement.
Before the launching of the session 8th Indian Reserved (commando) Battalion gave guard of honour to Governor Najma Heptula.
During the governor's address Heptulla highlighted the development carried out by the present government till date.
Later, MLA, P Saratchandra moved the motion of thanks to the governor's address which was seconded by advisor, state health Sapam Ranjan.
In the last agenda of the first day of the session, leader of the house, Chief Minister N Biren Singh presented the fifteenth report of the business advisory committee, 2021 and moved the report to the house.
The house has been adjourned for the day.
