The Kuki Students' Organisation general headquarters on Wednesday urged the chief electoral officer, Manipur to direct the deputy commissioner, sub divisional officer, sub divisional magistrate concerned to issue certificates smoothly, notwithstanding the ensuing assembly election considering the interest of job aspirants in the state.
“We are very much aware of the hectic schedules of the officers for the ensuing assembly election, but keeping in mind the seriousness of the students and job aspirants, I appealed on behalf of all the students and job aspirants to direct the concerned authorities for smooth issuance of such certificates without further delay,” said education secretary, KSO general headquarters Thangmoi Haokip in a representation submitted to the CEO Manipur.
Haokip stated that there are various grievances shared by various student communities and civil service aspirants that the said authorities could not discharge their duties in issuing the certificates like tribes, domiciles, etc. The certificates are required for job applications including UPSC exams, scholarships, admission in colleges and universities, etc. The non-issuance of the certificates has caused lots of inconveniences to the students as well as the public, he mentioned, he added.
