“Sadar Hills is the best place in Manipur in all aspects, especially in water resources as it has been popularly known as the best water resource district in the state but it could turn into a worst place for water resources soon if we fail to preserve and protect the environment accordingly,” he added.

He strongly appealed to the people of Saitu constituency to bid adieu to illegal poppy cultivation from now onwards. “If we continue to fail in preserving our environment, we will soon get bottles of tears instead of water,” he said.

“Before time flies away, the three assembly constituencies of Kangpokpi district must come together and initiate a unanimous and collective decision to declare support for Chief Minister's ‘War on Drugs’ campaign keeping in mind that Kangpokpi district is the largest poppy cultivation district,” he said.

“Being the largest illegal poppy cultivating district is not only a mockery and insult to the people but also a destructive future for our younger generations, '' he added.
