JAC seeks support to trace missing Md Achouba

Md Achouba from Kwakta, who was working for construction of water supply, at Huisi Village in Ukhrul district, has been missing since August 12.

JAC against the missing of Md Achouba has called on all the concerned authorities to extend their support and co-operation in finding Md Achouba who has been missing since August 12.

During a press conference at Manipur Press Club on Thursday, convenor of JAC Md Jaya Khan said that Md Achouba from Kwakta is a construction worker and as per information shared by him, he was working for construction of water supply at Huisi Village in Ukhrul district. The family members were always in touch with him through mobile phone however, the contact was completely lost after conversation on August 12 morning around 9.30, Khan informed.

He further said that family members had tried their best to find out the whereabouts of Md Achouba and even visited Ukhrul on August 16 and asked those people whom he is associated with. As they could not get any clue, they filed a missing report at Ukhrul Police Station August 16, he added.

The family of Md Achouba even approached the concerned MLA and MP Leishemba Sanajaoba who contacted officials of the police department. However, it is all in vain and they are unable to find Md Achouba, he added.

While seeking support to find Md Achouba, he said that the victim's family is unable to bear the pain of losing Md Achouba. As such leader of the state, N Biren Singh, police department, church leaders and people of Ukhrul are appealed to extend support and cooperation in tracing Achouba, he appealed.

JAC has also shared the information of suspected person(S) who may be involved in the missing case of Md Achouba to get their statement from the police department, he added.
